Cork University Maternity Hospital

Following the directions for CUH will bring you into CUMH. CUMH is situated to the front of the CUH campus as you enter from the Wilton shopping center traffic lights. There are limited underground car park facilities in CUMH and additional public parking on the CUH campus.

Travelling by Car

Cork University Hospital can be accessed from the West via the Bandon Road Roundabout. Head East towards Sarsfield Road Roundabout and take first exit onto Sarsfield Road/N71. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Bishopstown Road. CUH is on the right.


Cork University Hospital can be accessed from the East via the Jack Lynch Tunnel. Head South on the N40 for 9.4km, keep left and take the exit toward Sarsfield Road/N71. At Sarsfield Road Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Sarsfield Road/N71. At the roundabout take the first exit onto Bishopstown Road. CUH is on the right.


From Cork Airport take Avenue 2000 to N27. Head southeast on Avenue 2000. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on Avenue 2000. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit. Continue on the N27 to Cork. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto N27. Turn left onto the ramp to N25/South Ring (West)/N22/N71. Merge onto N40. Exit left toward Sarsfield Road/N71. At Sarsfield Road Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto Sarsfield Road/N71. At the roundabout take the first exit onto Bishopstown Road. CUH is on the right.

There are 5 Cork City Buses regularly stopping at Cork University Hospital.

Stops inside the gates at the main hospital entrance.

Stops at the bottom of Bishopstown Avenue. 5 minute walk to CUH.

All taxi services in Cork are familiar with the location of CUMH and will be able to take you there.


A free phone Taxi service, Sun’s Cabs, is available from within the Maternity Hospital and it is located opposite the main maternity reception desk.
